XPRIZE

The WhaleX Foundation has partnered with the Ocean Nourishment Corporation to enter the Musk Foundation XPRIZE Carbon Removal. 

The Foundation is currently following the road map set out by the competition and supporting this entry as a means to advance research into the role whale nutrient plumes play in the carbon cycle.

The WhaleX Foundation supported the Ocean Nourishment Corporation's WhaleX entry in the Musk Foundation and XPRIZE’s $100M Carbon Removal competition. In the first phase of the competition, the WhaleX team project has been short listed in the top 60 (among 1132 applicants). The WhaleX team were listed in the top 100 in the final phase of the competition.
